Dante is a transfer student to UNC Charlotte from Central Piedmont Community College, where he completed his Associate's degree in Arts. At UNC Charlotte, Dante is a member of the Arts + Architecture Honors Program. In his free time, Dante enjoys spending time with his family, going to the gym, and hanging out with his friends.
Alex is entering UNC Charlotte majoring in Theater, and intends to pick up a second major in either Psychology or Business. Alex is a member of the Arts + Architecture Honors Program at UNC Charlotte. In his free time, Alex enjoys playing tennis, listening to music, and reading.
Chelsea is an active member and leader in several campus organizations, including the English Honors Program, Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society (Communications Officer), the English Learning Community (Peer Mentor), the Women in Business Initiative, and the Global Gateways Program. In addition to her campus involvement, Chelsea has held several internships, including working as a Law Intern for the Watsi Sutton Law Firm and as a Library Science Intern for the George and Laura Brown Library. During spring break 2017, Chelsea participated in the faculty led study abroad program, “Shakespeare in England.” In her free time she enjoys reading, playing her instruments (she can play four), and spending time with her family.
Misty is an active member and leader in several campus organizations, including the University Honors Program (Historian), Earth Club (Vice President), The Finer Niners A Capella group, and Health Occupations Students of America. During the spring of 2017, Misty participated in UNC Charlotte’s Semester in Spain study abroad program located in Santander, Spain. While there, Misty took several excursions around Spain and also managed to travel to Paris, France and Rome, Italy. In her free time, Misty enjoys photography, hanging out in a hammock, and traveling. Misty is also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and spent the summer of 2017 working at the Clay County Care Center.
Nephdarlie is an active member of several campus organizations, including the English Honors Program, the Pre-law Society, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. In addition to her campus involvement, Nephdarlie has held several jobs, including working as a tutor and mentor for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department Police Activities League and as an Assistant Teacher for the KinderCare Learning Center. During spring break 2017, Nephdarlie participated in the faculty led study abroad program, “Shakespeare in England.” In her free time she enjoys watching TV and volunteering with children.
Bekim is an active member in several student organizations, including the Arts and Architecture Honors Program, the American Institute for Architecture Students, and the US Green Building Council. Bekim has also interned at the Architecture Firm LS3P. In addition, he has conducted several research projects, including “Daylighting-Evolution of Roman Apartment complexes over a 2,000 year time period” and “Alien Awareness-A study of non-human forms of consciousness within other animal species and synthetic constructs.” In the summer of 2015 Bekim studied abroad in Rome, Italy and in the summer of 2017 he will again be studying abroad, this time in Seoul, South Korea. In his free time Bekim enjoys spending time in nature, stargazing, and playing urban planning video games.
Brianna is excited to be a first year student UNC Charlotte, where she is a member of the University Honors Program. In her free time, Brianna enjoys traveling, volunteering with Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, and dancing -- she been dancing with the Asheville Dance Theater for 15 years.
